Friendship Goes Far

In less than a month I know the following two people, we've already been to KBox.
It's quite amazing how we can build such rapport in such a short time. I'm guessing it must be under the influence of a common reason. Hur.

Swee was crooning to emo tunes by Xu Zhi An, Su Yong Kang and Jay Chou.
Though expressionless, Chloe and I agreed that his voice is filled with emotions.

He himself has to admit that this is a good photo because he is actually smiling. (What's wrong with the guys this era - they all don't know how to smile?)

Chloe is a drama fanatic and adores pretty boys, that kind machiam like girls one you know?
From 2 - 7.15 PM we sang and sang, refilling our bowls of nuts one after another. Hur.
That basically round up my first outing ever with working partners.
You don't need a bunch of suckers in a certain environment just to please someone.

Friendships are indeed of importance. :D
It was pretty awesome.

I am Not a Game Addict

Shortly since I acquired the spanking new red PSP Slim & Lite I have received many, many games from our fellow gamer friends as well *coughs* (You don't need to know whether it's in hard copy or soft copy) *coughs*.

Earlier on I was playing with God of War -easy mode (O.I.E, don't judge) and completed it. Now with unlocked characters, yet I"m sick of playing it. The Normal mode - I died multiple tiems in a row, and I jumped to Ridge Racer 2. Heh.

But the other time at Glenn's house I was introduced to Guitar Hero, though I can't lose weight with it as like Dance Dance Revolutions eons ago, this is much more challenging and have got pretty awesome songs. (Tsk, unlike the techno songs Butterfly, Turn Me On etc on DDR).
Gosh, I heard Wii is awesome, is it true

On the train every day, I see many people playing with PSP/ DS lite. In comparision, PSP provides crystal clear visuals but it seems to me that the DS lite is more engaging, is it not?
This brings me back when I own the first Tamagotchi and my first Digimon (one spoilt one lost). This is how mine looks like in Primary 5 (in the same colour):

It was purchased by my maid, one for my sis and I. I know, very generous of her huh. And no, I didn't give her anything in return! :x

In Sec three, I guess probably due to peer influence, I got the version 3 of the Tamagotchi. And just last year I think, my sis went to buy the Version 4 of it:

It still costs $39.90, which is quite costly for a little virtual pet that dies in 7 days.
Anyway, that day when I was at Carrefour  there was the Tamagotchi Ver 4. It retails at $19.90.

Right now, I'm trying to figure how to play a game named Patapon, which is freakin' difficult to play!

Now, who says girls can't game at all?

QQ's Hyperactivity

QQ must be very bored at home.

Every time she sees a new friend, she's estatic! Not in the case when BiBi came over though. Neng said he say BiBi's dick was *ahem* erected.

I brought her over to my Granny's house to play. My Uncle took out the hamster. The hamster was obvious uninterested and hid in one corner of the living room while QQ followed it and attempt to murder play with it. Sometimes she can get a little too rough because I saw her biting the hamster (in the form of play bite) and I thought it might hurt the hamster.

The unnamed hamster. :D

And she sniffs.

And she kisses!

All right, let's try to be friends!

Planning Ahead

Time spent in the office is not time well spent. I only have Swee to keep me company because him talking to me is the only thing that keeps me sane.

It's funny how I introduce online gadgets to him (eg. Twitter) and he teaches me HTML and all, at the same time exchanging knowledge (sometimes being shamelessly helpful and stalker behaviour).

These days, he told me what a Draft Blogger is - it's a platform where you can blog an entry and only allows it to be published at your stipulated timing. Simply amend the date and time in the Post Options at the end of entry to your desired published date and timing.

You're looking at one now. :)

Swee and I are both hooked to blogging. Meanwhile, if I have time, I want to make amendments to my blog. Feedback I heard was that my blog is kind of too cluttered. I've decided to change the banner some time back anyway!

* * *

QQ's so pampered! And I guess she enjoys tremendously when allowed rolling on my bed. Sis barged into my room and slept on my bed, dragging QQ with her.

I can't resist but scream 'cute!" when QQ props her head up on my Sis's waist while she was asleep.

QQ has also developed very strong teeth, chewed on my earphones (and spoiling it), and tore the beanie that I passed to her to play. 0,0. This morning, she tore my sketching designs of my website into pieces! Whenever she wants to get my attention to play with her, she tends to get a little rough and play-bite me. Grrr. Spank her bottom.

I must admit I have neglected Leopard, the inanimate Leopard. Hur. Occasionally I still play with it, and watch the video of "Pink Panther", humming the tune ~ da da da dum, da dum, da dum da dum da dum da dum da dum....da da da dum~.

Kimmo and I call this, a Schnauzer Cut. :D

QQ after the haircut.

"Woh, I'm feeling giddy!"

It doesn't look like there's any difference isn't it?

The next grooming session, I intend to trim in this way:

Short hair! Easy to maintain, and she'll look cuter. ^^ Thanks Shy for the recommendation.

Bruce's Meme

I know I know!

It's not that I didn't want to blog, I have so much memory over the weekend that I want to pin it down but my Firefox's having problem with blogger! I might need to re-download, or use Safari.

But since I'm using a desktop and there's no photo required of this post, I'll do a quick update - A meme from Bruce at his SilentKaoPei. :D

This Is Swee....t

My new colleague at my internship has been teaching me a lot things!

Firstly, if you haven't noticed, a little popcorn icon at the the top left hand corner of your window/minimized bar/title bar lingering there tempting you to grab and munch it. Those using Internet Explorer won't be able to see it. Firefoxers, ain't it cute? And it fits my love for salty popcorn! ^^v

This HTML lesson was taught by him, his name's Swee by the way and he has it on his blog as well. Well ironic but he hates salty popcorn to the core. :D

Secondly, he helps me take My Paper and Today almost every day (Yah Darryl, I read your sports story almost every day! Haha.). After I read them, I'll ask him questions sometimes about the world and we would discuss news, then drifted off to gaming and other topics as well. Like yesterday, while reading My Paper, there was this "World Rice Famine" article that shows an undernourished african little girl with lots of flies buzzing around her.

So I was like asking Swee, "What has the buzzing flies got to do with undernourishment?"

I even tried Googling to fine the answer mind you. I thought if someone is undernourished, the flies will know that you are dying soon and will prep to eat you. 0,0 Hur.

But it isn't. And we conclude that the picture was irrelevant to the story. It's just showing the situation in Africa. Previously I still told dad I want to go Africa and see the wild animals. With the flies around, uh, I think not. Have you seen it? If not, browse to the paper on 16 April 2008.

Wait, I saw flipped through the online version of today's paper, and Malaysia MIGHT build Disneyland Theme Park! Okay, that's it. I'm going to the get paper during lunch later (I hope the guy's distributing!).

Thirdly, while I was reading Swee's blog entry, I came across a link:

Goodybooks - I Believe You

And I urge you to read if you have an hour or so to spare. I'm a slow reader, so I probably took three times your time. Heh.

A story by Low Kay Hwa. This ebook ends at chapter 17, and to finish the entire story you need the last three chapters, which you can ask me for it if you want to know the ending. :)

I'll probably continue reading the three other novels he wrote.
I just cannot tahan the character names he/she used like Jacky Wu Zhong(It's zong lor by the way) Xian, Landy Wen Wen Lan, Zhou Jie Lun etc. Super turn off.

On a last note, I've added another widget on my blog, Twitter! This is where I can update my thoughts any time I have one and die die must shout out. Heh. I can do it on my GChat and even with my mobile. Coolness.

THANK YOU SWEE WEI!

Later!

Ah Yat Abalone

Many birthday boys/girls/men/women fall on April.

Last week was my dad's. When the clock strikes twelve, it marks the beginning of his Senior Citizen-ship. Sad! But he'll get to enjoy $4 movie!

That is beyond my point. Starting from now, I have to start mapping my future, earning money and do family planning. Because who knows? Dad may be retrenched any moment with his age and knowledge in the radpidly-growing media industry.

Sis: Pa, your birthday that day, Ting and I treat you to Sushi ok? The Sushi Tei one.

I asked, "You okay with it or not? Or you want something else?"

Dad: I would prefer Chinese food.

I continued, "Then zhi char (a coffeeshop whereby you can order seafood/vegs/soup etc altogether)?"

Dad: I was thinking Ah Yat Abalone.

The bill choked up to $300+.
0,0

But what matters is that he enjoyed himself. The ulu Ah Yat is lies deep within the old Turf Club. Judging by the outlook of the restaurant sparse car park, it didn't look good.

My assumption was wrong. The place was brightly-lit, with loads of neat compartments and tables, each with at least one waitress serving you.

Granny called to ask us helped her pack two packets of Chilli Crab home, so we went out to the foyer. Woh. Regardless of the kinds of sea creatures, they all come in jumbo sizes. I was peering closely at one of the crabs, wanting to touch it when Sis pushed me from behind, scaring me.

Tsk, what childish-ness.

Although I didn't enjoy the meal as much as I would if I ate at Ichiban Sushi, the Buddha Jumps Over The Wall is heavenly! However, it does leave a sticky feeling on your lips even though you lick it off already.

The best dish there would of course be the Ah Yat Abalone.

The abalone as big as my palm. It's chewy and very difficult to cut.

But in my opinion, I think it's the fried rice eh. Hur.

Dad's birthday cake was Durian flavoured, and it was good, from Emicakes.

So here, a shout out to those celebrating their birthdays, the likes of Fung, Onion, Jo, Vic's Dad, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ^^v

xoxo

Awesome Advertisements

Well, at least in my opinion.

I tried looking for the one that has my teacher acting in it, but it wasn't available, and I also don't know of the brand he endorses in.

Because the other day my uncle sent me a Taiwanese commercial and I found it ... 0,0 funny.
I showed it to Bruce the other day and he blamed me for being lag.

Ah, what an inspiring one. I wonder how they make the animals do each other, and how to make the Golden Retriever do the sad face. But I highly suspect it's two different dogs who acted in it.

Hilarious, no? Bruce always liked this kind of ad. :D
Funny the storekeeper only asked for the brand of the ketchup, but not the rice, sugar, biscuit and shampoo?
I like her ultra speed speech and their cute accent. :P

It reminds me of this award-winning ad:

I'm sure Singaporeans know this one well. :)

Bruce followed up with another Indian one:

Wahaha, still say you not racist siahh! :D

My current favourite commercial ad is the 24-hr delivery McDonalds, where the guy shakes his hand to get rid of the electronic icon that we normally see on a computer screen. Cute.

Cause of Diarrhoea

That Bimbap from the Korean hawker gave me a little laxative for my constipation:

(Taken using Samsung E900. Sorry hor, no macro mode one.)

Though I didn't consume it, ten minutes after I ate three-quarter of it, I got a tummy ache and lost a lot of water in the shitting process (if you know what I mean).

No doubt the rice taste great, the insect looks disgusting enough for me to not eat from there any time soon.

So who still dare claim that Tanjong Pagar area got GOOOOOD food?!

Puppy Woes

QQ went for her first grooming session on Sunday!

Though it was unexpected, I still managed to squeeze time in between to bring her there, and came home, botak!

Initially, her fur to too damn long. Plus she enjoys chewing the raw hide, thus her saliva is always dripped all over her hands, thus the hair is dry and tangled up.

After shaved clean, now she's looks so skinny, and naked.
Uncle says I need to feed her more and bring her out to exercise so she looks fit.
Besides, Uncle asked if she barks very often. Hmm.

I said no, she seldom barks, but whine a lot.
Uncle gave me that uncertain expression. I guessing, over there while grooming, she must be behaving like a mad puppy and they disciplined her. I wonder.

At the same time, her food supply ran low and Jian Wei recommended me to change it to Nutro One. She's currently taking Eukanuba (seems to make a her coat dry), so I decided to purchase it.

So here's the problem.

QQ started developing little dot-like things like pimples on her skin, not restricted to any particular area. The moment she reached home from grooming, she started scratching her face very much (before that also have, but now even more prevalent). I checked it every day but there's no bump or fleas. The little bumps occur on top of head, on the nose bridge, underarm, arm, upper neck.

Yesterday I only spotted two. So I applied the ointment and today one disappeared while the other seems became significantly smaller. But I discovered like 5 others. Kao.

They aren't clustered so I really don't know what's the problem and it starts to worry me a lot. Uncle says its due to dirt/germs. I'll shower her tomorrow and see what happens.

Is it the shaving that cause such itchiness and bumps or is the the change of food (I did mix them up) or the recent heat wave?

Ugh. Worried sick. Poor little girl.

Advice/help, anyone? :(
