Merry Christmas 'o8

My Christmas Eve was spent in school with BoyThunder and Eil doing our project work (so loser-ish I know). We had the companionship of Gibby's as well.

As usual, Gerald and I would be late, only this time he was way later than me.

He saved his own ass when he lugged a bag of goodies and passed the tidbits around:

Heh. It's been a long time since I last received a candycane! So we all starting tearing off the wrapper and eating it. That was my lunch by the way, and decided that it was not right. So I head over to the vending machine to purchase the tapioca chips, and it got stuck in the machine. =,=

By evening, I've found myself a new shopping kaki, and I love him! *rubs palm with glee*

My Chirstmas countdown was spent playing Cherades, Pictionary and Uno. I also shared my UP and DOWN for the year, and guess what was my answer for the UP part?

Getting to know a new bunch of friends from this place called CowboyBar. I said,
Even though the age gap between the youngest barfly to the oldest barfly is not exactly small, we get along just fine and they are a group of very nice people!I like spending time together with them.

But of course I have yet another UP too. ;)

QQ received a present that she didn't really fancy.

I think it's the bells. And the sizing is wrong. QQ's head is too small.

But she looked absolutely adorable in it. *rubs her face*

Okay, I'm off to work! And for the first time, we get to wear our own clothes instead the usual uniform for work! I even bought a prop to go along with my "theme". Heh.

Elective Preference Ranking

I'm guilty of going on a hiatus without notice. :/
I feel so relieved! Other than the fact that I've cleared my bowels, but also because I submitted my Final Report yesterday and finished what I set out to accomplish!
Plus, I had a great night out yesterday without having to take the bus and today is the last day of attachment! This marks another benchmark in my life. Anyway, recently the most popular conversation topic among my course mates are the electives they are choosing for the next semester.
I did my ranking just now.

And that's my decision. :)
More entries coming this way! :D

Have You Seen These?

If you happen to be from Ngee Ann Polytechnic and coincidentally dropping by the FMS block or Canteen 1, be sure to look out for the following posters!

What am I blabbering about?

Other than Yi Yuin, I’m the other person whom can speak fluent Mandarin in RHW. I was in-charge to design a couple of Chinese Heatwave posters months ago and I came up with these:

Badge Poster

Earphones Poster (The faces there damn cheesey I know)

Mousey Poster (oh the lovely colours!)

I know they are considered pretty amateurish but I’m proud I did them anyway. It’s a learning process that counts, no? Hee.

Anyway, my favourite poster is the “badge” theme, where a bunch of badges are pinned, with pictures of the “on air” block, our own part-timer deejay and the imitation of “I <3 NY” logo.

Next would be the multi-coloured “mouse” icons all over the white background. I’m not sure if you get the message I was trying to convey: mouse as in the mouse we use for computers VS nuisance mouse. RHW is available on the Intranet so I came up with this idea.

In any case, I’m plastering these posters outside the Continuity Room in Canteen 1 and at the FMS block (only places where we no need to ask for permission).

Have you seen them?

Kenji Wu ... Total Cutie!

Kym and I had to honour to meet Kenji Wu in person on Monday (30 Jun) at the Copthorne King's Hotel for a quick chat.

Amidst the interview, Kenji was capable of injecting some humour, tickling us journalists and letting his character shine through.

Kenji Wu was in Singapore last week - his last stop in Asia - to promote his latest album "Poems For You", before heading back to Taiwan to prepare for his upcoming tour concert.

In this latest album, the songs were all composed by himself, and he even directed his own MV, named <牵牵牵手>. Despite his setback with the lukewarm response for his first album, not only has he garnered many fans now in Asia, but also co-writing songs for famous singers such as Landy Wen and Valen Tsu.

When asked about where his inspirations for his quirky sense of music came from, he said, "Anything and everything, including movies. The drama serials could be a fun source, and since I love reading novels as well, I find some of them in there too".

For this album, he has donned on a new style, one with the permed hair and "Prince Charming" vested attire. He joked, "The directors and my friends have asked me to stop curling my hair. They think it's awful! But personally, I like it".

Radio Heatwave recommends songs such as <眼睛不闭着>, a song which he wrote for one of his fans who was in her last stage of cancer. Other cute numbers include <什么东西> and <情人节>, of course not forgetting its hit single <为你写诗>!

为你写诗

什么东西 (The curly hair!)

牵牵牵手

Lastly, Thiang the blur one is obviously smitten with him, just that he oddly reminds her of somebody very much... hmmm. Do you think the same way too?

xoxo
