Review: Darlie Expert White Toothpaste & Binchotan Charcoal Toothbrush

[Sponsored Post]

I just hopped into bed after brushing my teeth using the latest Darlie Expert White Toothpaste and Charcoal toothbrush, in the hope that I will have a sparkly white set of teeth to boast on my wedding day (1 month month to go!). :D

I was given a set of the above to review its effectiveness.  I am already using Darlie for the longest time so when they launched Expert White, which contains PS-mp ingredient that helps to make teeth 3 times whiter, I was quick to take up the challenge! After all, Darlie conducted a research and proved that 88% of the respondents agreed that the Darlie Expert White indeed has whitening effects that is similar to those that was professionally done.

Since I am almost an everyday tea drinker, it means that I am rather susceptible to teeth staining, and what with the big day drawing near I can't afford to have yellowish teeth! Besides maintaining general cleanliness of my oral health, I see a need to create a whitening shield over the teeth to prevent against such staining.

For the past 2-3 weeks I have been using the toothpaste and toothbrush, and here are my thoughts on them:

The Darlie Expert White is viscous paste in a pretty cerulean blue colour, though it may be a bit more difficult to squeeze out due to the thicker consistency (as compared to the usual normal toothpaste).

I liked how Darlie always keep their toothpaste fresh. The taste of Expert White is not as minty as the usual fluoride toothpaste but is able to keep the taste rather clean and neutral. I don't taste anything particular weird or anything.

Moving on to the toothbrush, I got to say the biggest benefits of a Binchotan charcoal is that it can prevent bacteria growth and also helps to remove plaque! Of course, we already know that charcoal has other effective uses such as absorbing unpleasant odors (hello fresh breath!)  and harmful substances.

As you can see from the picture, it has very slim tip bristles to clean between the gaps that we often miss out when we brush our teeth .  If you're a sucker for SOFT bristles, then this toothbrush will be your best brushing pal. The bristles are so soft and comfortable that I can even use in on my face! In fact, when the toothbrush is due for replacement, I will probably use this as a nail brush too since it cleans the tiniest gaps so well.

The tip to using the charcoal toothbrush is to be gentle so as not to hurt the gums and especially those with sensitive gums. With the soft bristles brushing my teeth, it also massages the gums and promotes oral health.

Brushing my teeth with this combination does make my teeth feels EXTREMELY clean, like literally squeaky clean. I didn't take a picture of my teeth but this photo below was taken at my pre-wedding videography shoot.

Not a flattering picture but just focus on the teeth k :D
Then use that picture and compare against my other pictures in the blog and you'll be able to see the difference.

Personally I like the Expert White and will continue to use it.

As I am more of a rough person when it comes to brushing, I like to feel the bristles and able to have full control, so I may not be the best candidate to use the charcoal brush.

The toothpaste is tagged at an affordable price of $5.90 for a 120g tube, and is available at all leading departmental stores. I bought my very first tube from Watsons though. :)

7 months since my last blog post. GOTTA blog soon! :X
