RADIO UFM FIGHT CLUB

BIG NEWS!

Fine, it's not that big to you, but to me it is!

THIANG is still going to compete in Radio UFM 1003 FIGHT CLUB semi-finals!

This morning, Margaret (their assistant) called me to pick a timing for co-hosting on air; and inform me about Saturday's activities and what is ask of me. 0.0

I was so shocked I couldn't go back to sleep, and was very anxious and worried and scared.
I phoned mom right away and tried to contact as many friends on the spot.

Just in case you don't know what I'm talking about, Fight Club is this DJ competition held annually (if I'm not wrong). I took part for the fun of it and also my passion for radio, so might as well try out for the first round the other day after exams.

I visited the site just and I saw the name list. It's weird why only 2 of 17 semi-finalists are from Ngee Ann, because during the first round I spot some really good ones, and definitely better than me. So I have no idea.

Check this out:

I'm the bloody youngest among all of them! And and! My name's last on the list, so I think it's actually to make up the numbers, that's why they put me in last minute. Haha.

Anyway!

POINT IS:

Tune in to UFM 1003 on Fri night, 21 Sept 2007, 10pm - 12am, listen to the programme and support me! Maybe sms in or something!

AND/OR

Head down to Junction 8 the next day, 22 Sept, 3-5pm at the Open Plaza, where the semi-finals are held.

I suggest you either wear the same colour shirt as me (so I know you support me mah!) or draw banner/posters. Heh. Pretty PLEASE!

3 rounds that day:

1) Introduction
Contestant 1 will introduce contestant 2, contestant 2 will introduce contestant 3 and thereafter. (Wau lau! So tough! I'm quite rigid one. :( )

2) On-the-spot
Pick a card and either answer a question or complete a task. This is to test my uh, what do I call that, reaction?

3) Talent
Perform something. The judges will press the bell if within the 3-5 mins I'm not able to entertain them! Then, I will lose marks or something. :(

I'm shivering right now! Darn!

I want to see you there! :)

Give me your blessings/support/comments on what I should do!

Missing

Thiang thiang thiang thiang!

It feels like I've been away for a very long time. But it was merely 6 days.

The awesome Korea days are over, and back to uh, sigh, Singapore. :(

A week ago, Act 20 actors and crew members attended the Thank-You party.

Other than the little mingling, it wasn't fun at all. Boo.
So anyway, a few of us wasted 2 and a half hours just deciding where to go before settling down at the Starbucks at Clarke Quay, which was really dumb actually, considering that we walked along the Central and all the cafes and bars were full.

And yes, that's the day Dwayne drove me home! Coolness.
-------------

The following day was a bit of a rush. Supposedly, Vic wanted to visit my Gu Jie as well, but his friend's EZ-link card was with him, and he had to sent it over to Tampines.

I also bought my gingham maryjanes, which turned out tight. :( It made my feet sweat so now I have smelly feet. ( I wore this to Korea luh, can you imagine?)

Anyway, Gu Jie was surprised when I stepped into her house. Muahaha.

Gu Jie = used to be my babysitter whom dotes on me ALOT
Joyce = Her eldest daughter
Joanne= Her second daughter
Cheryyln = Joyce 13-months baby

She does resemble her mom a lot, and both Gu Jie and Joanne agreed I look almost like her when I'm young. Quite true. So cute.

She wasn't aware I was taking her photos, she didn't allow coz' she thinks she looks awful and fat. I think otherwise. :)

This one looks like your Daddy! Haha!

She's working in the States, came back for a short holiday. She's slimmed down and getting prettier! :D

She gave me one of her detergent pen. Haha. Cute, handy thing.

I'm a tad bit lazy to sort out the 350 photos(excluding sis's and mom's) and 2 videos of the Korea trip.

But I can tell you, I made a couple of Singaporean friends, one studying in Ireland, 1 Korean hunk and 1 pretty lady of Korea! :)

Heh heh. I missing Korea, and the koreans.

AWESOME.

Boys Toys

Thiang's eyes have (grammatical?) got problems. Nowadays, it keeps tearing and/or a lot of excretions. It's sensitive to strong light, and lazy to open, thus having eyelid problems too. Sigh. I think my eyes are infected. :(

The past two days was spent doing boy stuffs.

1) Bike helmet! Bikes! Biker!

Victor bought this helmet in the hope that he could use it after he got his bike license (duh), but it's not allowed to be used in Singapore. No idea why though, but my head feels safe. Heh.

My 1 minute bike ride home was driven by Dwaye. I have no idea why I was shivering so badly even when he only drives at, say 40km/h? I'm thinking coz' I'm too cold, fear of falling, or exposed(mini dress!), I really don't think it's because I'm nervous to be so close to him. Hmmm.

2) Gundam

This awesome model we completed in 6-8 hours time. Cool huh? I love fixing these. :D

3) Girls

Ok lah, I know they won't be our standard, just trying to put these photos in. And it's true guys can't live without the females, vice-versa!
-----------

This hasn't been blogging, because I'm busy packing the clothes. Argh.

My stomach is bulging. When you lightly press my abdomen, it hurts. I'm worried. Moreover, I have a tummy now. Time to exercise when I come back.

Zhao Rong has given some very constructive comments on my blog design, and I'm going to make some changes once I'm free. :) It's not that easy to work on other people's blogskin using HTML codes.

Uh ok, very very tired. Bye.

Satisfaction

My room's almost done with the packing and dumping all the shite! Whee!

Sneak peek:
Things I keep have got their values, so you can go ahead and ask me, "Eww, why are you keeping that?" :D

The very nice cupboard which unfortunately keeps a lot of the things I seldom use. Heh.

Oh well. And so the trip down to Borders didn't turn out well. They wanted long-term part-timers who could fufill 30 hours per week. And I'm not sure I can do that it the next semester, since the seniors and teachers said it would be the xiong-est sem.

I spent the rest of the day window shopping with Eil, and he met TT (Durai) later. I thought he was very friendly and nice initially know, but turns out that he's still as nasty as ever to me. Only favourable to Eil lor, wau lao. He was criticized my Eng, not that I have any Eng talents to boast. He's Chinese, also not very good leh.

Anyway, still thinks he's not THAT bad a person, and I'm scared of him more than loathe him.

--------------

I'm feeling good again because Hon is back and he gave me the reassurance I need. Eil, no more troubles with the Zouk thing! Wahaha, turns out they're not going anymore.

My nights have been difficult because I keep dwelling on that Zouk thing, no kidding. It was so awful. Bleh.

2 MEMEs to be completed this morning:

From Shyanne:
10 Weird Things About Thiang (I tried to make it weird already)

1) I like to peel my nails first before I use the nail clipper. It's ... uncontrollable.

2) I keep everything, from damaged shoes (even wear them sometimes) to Giordano children clothes I bought in Sec 1 to my Primary 1 习字本. Beat that.

3) I walk around the house, not knowing where I'm going. And I do that A LOT.

4) I laugh and talk to myself when I find my self doing something stupid (eg . Point 3)

5) Roll on the bed, literally, and screaming, "I'm SO BORED!" hoping that something interesting would happen.

6) Pick up attitudes, behaviours and facial expresssions from people around me, like a plagiarism machine, out of control

Identify the Signs

*Coughs Coughs*

"Phow, Phew, sure is dusty in here."

10 Things To Identify To Know You Should Start Cleaning Your Room:

1) When you realize your room have barely any space left for you to stand.

2) When you find little black dots at the bottom of your magazine rack (actually I think is insect droppings).

3) When you start sneezing incessantly, and eyes start to itch horribly when you are only flipping through your secondary school files.

4) When a guy doubt your gender just by looking at your room, and feels that it is worse than his room.

5) When a guy sarcasticaly comment that you re-painted the facing layer of the shelves white, when actually it's the dust, just too thick.

6) When you realize you have ALL your worksheets and textbooks and help books and Ten-Year series and 8 词语手册 all lying around your room, when you've already graduated in 2005.

7) When you realize whenever you open one cupboard, several things drop off to the floor, and have to pick it up, dump it in and try to close the cupboard door as fast as you can (cycle repeats when you open same cupboard again).

8) When you fan looks like it's been coated with cobwebs, when actually it really is just a lot of dust accumulated (but you can't be blamed when the bloody fan can only be unscrewed by a 6-sided screwdriver and the one dad bought at cheap mama shop is unusable).

9) When you find yourself comparing your room and the rest of the rooms in the house (including toilets) and surprisingly wonder why your room seems so small, and untidy, and even smells different.

10) When you test to touch your table lamp and it looks like this:

Then, if you know you can't fight this losing battle on your own, lure your best friend to come your house, and kindly ask if he/she wants to help you clean up your room. *wink*

Heh heh.

No lah, Fung just happened to accompany a lonely and bored soul(me) play children's board games half a Sunday and for the next 6 hours, STRONGLY encouraged me to dump everything.

"Woah, you REALLY keep everything, leh!"

I can't tell what's real and what's not.
Back to the emotional phase.

Happy, like shit.
Lonely, like hark.

Dig the moments.
