Samsung Fashion Steps Out 2013

 Late last month, I went for the Samsung Fashion Steps Out (FSO) 2013 Media Preview and Opening Party!

This is held in conjunction to celebrate Orchard Road, the most famous street in Singapore! 

As I have work before the event, I was unable to attend the media preview, missing on the live FSO 2013 t-shirt customization showcase by local designer, Ash Lee, and also missed the opportunity to be styled by the Shiseido team. Dang.  

Anyway, CG and I made it for the reception and band performance by Goodfellas was just freaking solid. 

At about 7.30pm, Samsung FSO's opening act stopped traffic. Quite literally.  A group of models strutted down Orchard Road with their stylish t-shirts, and made their way into Paragon. 

The models took all the limelight! I love how some of the t-shirts were styled and made versatile.  On another note, check out the model's flat abs........../envy. 

Back at the Atrium, we were all seated on these very cool chairs spray painted with psychedelic prints and colors! 

The fashion show featured the latest Spring/Summer looks by Etro and Pois' presentation of Mary Katrantzou and Manish Arora.

Absolutely my favourite collection fo the night. There are just something about feathers that I'm attracted to now... 

The blue dress is simply GORGEOUS. The shade of electric blue and the details that go into the top (and the back too). 

The outfit selection for the hosts was well-thought and very presentable.  Love all her dresses!

There are actually many other ongoing events/exhibits at Orchard road prepared just for FSO this year, such as the Trunk Show presented by Raffles Design Institute. The Fashion Prints: A Trunk Show features 10 selected designs from works submitted by 66 third-year students from the Graphic Design and Fashion Design departments, and these designs were worked onto trunks along Orchard Road!
